How to screenshare from a Chromebook during Easter Half Term
Modified on: Wed, 2 Apr 2025 9:53 AMDuring Easter Half Term, classroom/desktop PCs will not be accessible. Staff and students must work from a Chromebooks using Google Drive, Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
If you are planning to use the interactive teacher screens in a classroom to share classroom material, please follow the guides below.
There are two models of Interactive Screens: Promethean and SMART. Refer to the tables for the classrooms where each model is located and follow the respective guide.

Promethean
Which classes have a Promethean Interactive Screen using PROMETHEAN SCREEN SHARE?

How to screenshare from a Promethean Interactive screen.
- On a Chromebook open the Promethean Screen Share extension within Google Chrome -
- Then turn on the Promethean TV and select “Screen Share” from the control bar
- Copy the Panel ID from the TV – it will be 6 numbers this will then need to be typed into the Promethean Screen Share extension on the Chromebook
- Once you have typed in the 6 numbers to the extension, it will then show a green tick, this means it is now connected. Type in your name and then press “Continue”
- Now you will need to select the relevant tab e.g. entire screen or a specific window. Don’t forget to share system audio you will need to select the box. Click “Share”
- On the TV select the username and click “Share” at the bottom on the TV

How to screenshare from a SMART Interactive screen using ESHARE.
- Open ESHARE on your Chromebook -
- On the Interactive Screen, Change the source to 'Android' - It will likely be on HDMI
- Now select 'Apps' > 'EsharePro'
- The Interactive Screen will look like this
- Make a note of the IP Address (The numbers in this format: Example: 192.192.192.192) & Password on the screen (Example circled in photo above)
- On the Chromebook, enter the IP Address
- Then enter the password
- Now select 'Entire Screen'
- You are now sharing your Chromebook screen to the Interactive screen
Troubleshooting Steps
If the above is not working - Make sure your Chromebook is on the ALNS-CHROMEBOOK-24 Wi-Fi
To do so: Navigate to the bottom right of your screen and click on the three curved lines.
This will open the control centre
Check the box shows 'ALNS-Chrom....'
